Echo & the Bunnymen are Resurrected for Fall Tour
This fall Echo & the Bunnymen, the iconic 1980s alternative rockers, will return after another long layoff for a tour of North America behind the first album for the band in four years, “The Fountain.”
The British band will kick off their tour with an appearance in Toronto on October 20. The group will be performing “Ocean Rain,” their album from 1984, in its entirety and will be backed up with a full orchestra. Following the show in Toronto are two other dates for “Ocean Rain,” in Oakland, CA on October 22 and in Los Angeles on October 24. Then they will launch into a format that is more conventional with a November 15th stop in Atlanta to support “The Fountain.”
The forthcoming “The Fountain,” is the band’s 11th studio album. It is set to be on the shelves in stores on October 12. John McLaughlin produced the set. One of the tracks on the album features a Chris Martin, frontman for Coldplay, collaboration.
