Duran Duran Books 24 North American Tour Dates
On August 2 Duran Duran, the English New Wave group, announced dates for their fall 2011 tour to support “All You Need Is Now,” the band’s thirteenth studio album. Their tour will kick off in Everett, WA on September 23 and wrap up in Atlantic City, N.J. on October 29. On October 21 Duran Duran will perform at Congress Theater in Chicago, IL.
In May 2011 Simon Le Bon, the band’s lead vocalist, got laryngitis which led to rescheduling or canceling a majority of their European dates on their world tour “All You Need Is Now.” The fall 2011 tour of Duran Duran’s is comprised of 24 shows all over North America. The band will be touring to support their new set “All You Need Is Now.” The album was released in December 2010 and debuted in the No. 29 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart and No. 11 on the UK charts.
Neon Trees, the alternative rock band, will be the opener for Duran Duran for most of their dates on the fall 2011 tour of North America. They’re definitely one of Chicago’s favorite bands. Over the past few years on tour they have been openers at Aragon Ballroom for the band 30 Seconds To Mars, been a headliner at Chicago House of Blues, played at Lollapalooza and played a free concert during the Guinness Oyster Festival.
Currently Neon Tree is touring to support “Habits,” their debut studio album that was released via Mercury Records in March 2010.
