Dolly Parton Prepares for Summer Tour

Dolly Parton, world famous country music singer, has issued a statement that she will be embarking on an international tour that will wind through the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. The first concert is set for Knoxville, Tenn. on July 17.

Parton intends to promote her soon-to-be-released album, “Better Day,” which is set to drop in later summer. This is the fourth album that Parton has produced as a part of her personal label, Dolly Records.

In the press release for both her tour and album, she said in part, “I wanted to do an album that would be very uplifting and positive, as well as inspirational. Times are hard all over. I think people need to feel better and I thought ‘Better Day’ was a perfect title because it says ‘hope.’”

Parton has won 7 Grammys throughout her career and will sing “Together You & I,” the first single on her new album live on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” set for May 26.
