Diana Krall, the Canadian jazz singer and pianist, was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia on November 16, 1964. Krall has sold over 6 million US albums and more than 15 million worldwide albums. During the 1990s as well as 2000s Krall sold the most albums of any female jazz artist. She has had eight albums debut in the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Jazz Albums, which is a record. Krall has won eight Juno Awards and three Grammy Awards and has seven multi-platinum albums, three platinum and nine gold.

Krall released “Stepping Out,” her debut album, in 1993. In 1995 “Only Trust Your Heart,” her second album, was released. Her third set “All for You: A Dedication to the Nat King Cole Trio” was released in 1996 and received a Grammy Award nomination. The album was on Billboard's jazz charts for 70 weeks. Her 1997 album “Love Scenes” was a hit and consisted of Krall, Christian McBride on bass and Russell Malone on guitar. In 1999, she released “When I Look In Your Eyes.”

In 2000, Krall went on a tour of 20 cities with Tony Bennett. Krall's 2001 album “The Look of Love” was certified platinum and also made the Billboard 200's top 10. In 2001 Krall embarked on a world tour which resulted in the release of “Diana Krall-Live in Paris” in 2002. Krall married Elvis Costello in 2003 and the two started working together composing songs. She released “The Girl in the Other Room” in 2004. Krall's latest album “Quiet Nights” was released in 2009.
