deadmau5 and Tommy Lee Were Banned From Coachella in 2010
Deadmau5 seems to be the latest celeb to jump on the “driving around with rockstars and telling stories” bandwagon with his “Coffee Run” Youtube show, where he takes said rockstars for a spin in pursuit of caffeinated beverages.
In a recent episode of the ongoing saga, Deadmau5 picks up perma-child Tommy Lee and the pair discuss their previously-rumored and now-confirmed 2010 exclusion from Coachella.
It’s difficult to say exactly what led to the pair’s banishment, but it involved their arrival via helicopter, flaming vans, knives, a girlfriend (nobody knows who’s), someone called “Toilet” vowing to prevent Motley Crue from ever playing the festival again, and Deadmau5 getting involved in some important-enough way to get himself banned too?
Well, what they acually say is this:
“That was insane, unbelievable,” Lee said.
Deadmau5 continues, “Dude, what? We just landed a helicopter in the middle of a field with a burning van… We take off, and this minivan spontaneously bursts into fire. All the fire department shows up.”
As of right now, the pair are no longer welcome at the Californian festival and to be perfectly honest, if their banishment really did involve all of those things, perhaps it’s for the best.
Point your cursor at the 7.15 mark to make sense of the story yourself and casually avoid all bromantic overtones.
Beyond the Coachella incident, Deadmau5 asks Tommy Lee a number of questions, including asking why he gave away his very first gold record (obviously, he was “really f–ked up”, in case you were wondering) to details of the Crue’s upcoming farewell tour (“one last hurrah with the original guys.”)
The rest of the video features further bromantic overtones and other problems only rockstars experience.
