The American pop songwriter-singer Colbie Caillat was born on May 28, 1985 in Malibu, California. She grew up in Newbury Park, California. Ken Caillat, her father, was a co-producer on Fleetwood Mac's 1977 “Rumors” and 1979 “Tusk” albums. Colbie's debut album “Coco” was released in 2007 and spawned the hit singles “The Little Things,” “Realize” and “Bubbly.” In 2008 Jason Mraz and Caillat recorded the duet “Lucky.” They won a Grammy award for the song. In 2009 Caillat released “Breakthrough” her second album. The set received a Grammy Awards nomination as Best Pop Vocal Album. “All of You,” Caillat's third album, was released in July 2011. Colbie Caillat has sold more than six million worldwide albums along with more than 10 million singles.

Caillat's debut single “Bubbly,” off of her first album “Coco” peaked in the No. 2 spot on Pop 100 chart and No. 5 on Billboard's Hot 100. “Realize” made it to No. 20 on the Hot 100 Chart, while “The Little Things” peaked in the No. 94 position on Pop 100 chart. In 2007 she toured with Lifehouse and the Goo Goo Dolls and provided support on John Mayer's 2008 Summer Tour. “Breakthrough” spawned the singles “Fallin' For You” and “I Never Told You.” “All of You” spawned the singles “I Do” and “Brighter Than the Sun.”

In 2010, BMI named Caillat as their songwriter of the year. In 2010 she also sang “God Bless America” at Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, “ sang the national anthem for the NFL's season opener game and performed in Oslo, Norway for the Nobel Peace Price Concert.
