Clint Black, Jana Kramer, Gretchen Wilson Set to Play BonfireJam
This year’s winter version of BonfireJam will feature Clint Black, Jana Kramer and Gretchen Wilson.
Billed as country music’s only winter festival, the event will be held Friday December 7 and Saturday December 8 in Chumuckla, Fla. Jana Kramer will perform on Friday, following what is known as the BonfireJam Shootout. This consists of championship calf roping, professional bull riding and fireworks. In fact, the calf roping event is the largest of its kind east of the Mississippi.
Black and Wilson will perform on Saturday, after a Christmas parade is held. Single day tickets start at $18.25, and two-day passes are priced as low as $32.50.
The BonfireJam has been held since 2010, and last year featured performances by Josh Turner, Jamey Johnson and Lee Brice. The inaugural year of the festival was headlined by Rodney Atkins and Little Big Town.
Earlier this year, a spring version of the festival was added. The event was held at Pensacola Beach, Fla., and featured Ronnie Dunn, Craig Morgan, Josh Thompson, Brett Eldredge and Sunny Sweeney. The Pensacola version of the BonfireJam comes with the catchy slogan, “Toes in the Water, Fanny in the Sand…” The winter version is known by a slightly more subdued mantra: “Country Culture, Country Music.”
Jana Kramer first became known as an actress, and played the role of Alex Dupre on the television series, “One Tree Hill.” She released her first self-titled album in June of the year. The album was a top 10 country hit, peaking at number 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It made it to number 19 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The album was preceded by the single “Why Ya Wanna,” which made its way to the number three spot on the Billboard Country Songs chart. The song peaked at number 50 on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart.
