Cirque Du Soleil Brings Michael Jackson Back to Life with ‘Immortal’ Tour

Cirque du Soleil and Michael Jackson’s Estate are joining together to keep the legacy of the pop legend alive.  Their creative musical project is called “The Immortal World Tour.”

Jamie King, award winning director of concerts, will head the project of 60 international performers celebrating Jackson’s love of dance and music, magic and fairy tales and nature’s fragile beauty, according to a recent press release.  The production will be over the top and feature Jackson’s choreography and music.

The inaugural leg of the trek will start with a stand of two nights in Montreal on October 2-3, followed by stops in arenas across major US markets on both coasts as well as throughout Canada.  The 27 city trek, which will include a nine night sets of dates in Las Vegas, will run through 2011 and into 2012.  In  upcoming weeks additional dates and cities will be announced.

On November 6, tickets will be going on sale via Jackson’s website for the first round of shows.

Jackson website subscribers and Cirque Club members will be able to buy presale tickets from now until November 6.

Earlier this year Cirque du Soleil and Michael Jackson’s Estate were able to reach a business agreement to work together on the promotion, production, development and created of projects related to Jackson.  On every project each party will own 50 percent.  Michael Jackson’s Estate will receive royalty payments as well as various aspects from the property of Jackson’s according to a recent press release.
