Cher Working on New Album, Concert Tour to Follow
Cher’s been causing quite the stir with her Twitter account recently, but the good news is she has used the social media platform to announce that she is planning a new tour to go along with an upcoming album.
Cher tweeted back in April that she hopes to have her new album out by Christmas of this year.
“Been in Studio.Am far behind, BUT Really LOVE MY SONGS ! Think u will Like/Love Them 2 ! Hope CD’s out by Xmas? Im tired, try’n b back later.”
No official release date has been set for the album, but it would also appear that a tour is in the works. Responding to a fan that tweeted to her that “you’ve had more farewell tours than the amount of ppl you follow1 [sic],” Cher stated “LAST ONE ‘NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE TOUR! Touring is HARD!”
The title of the tour would definitely be fitting for the artist. Cher also announced via Twitter that a musical about her life also in the works, but details were once again scarce.
“Prod r trying 2 write mucial [sic] now about my life with my music,” she tweeted on Monday. She also said that she will be helping with the script because, “I’m help.2 write cause i was there & know stories that no1 knows but me.”
But more recent tweets have landed the star in hot water, as she’s offended Mormons with a political tweet.
“I Feel if he (Obama) doesn’t get all his DUCKS IN A ROW we’ll b forced 2 listen 2Uncaring Richy Rich! The whitest man in MAGIC UNDERWEAR in the WH (White House).”
The “magic underwear” remark is referring to the “celestial underwear” formal garments worn by members of the Mormon church. Cher also was scorned by many of her gay fans when she tweeted positive remarks about Christian leader who has stated that being gay is a sin.
