The American actor Charlie Sheen was born as Carlos Irwin Estevez in New York City on September 3, 1965. His parents are artist Janet Templeton and actor Martin Sheen. He made his film acting debut in 1984 in Red Dawn, a Cold War drama. His film character roles have included playing Chris Taylor in the 1986 film Platoon, a Vietnam War drama; Jake Kesey in The Wraith, a 1986 film; and in 1987 he played Bud Fox in Wall Street.
