Reba McEntire has announced that she will be touring this fall with Edens Edge, Steel Magnolia and The Band Perry. On June 11, at LP Field McEntire will be singing “When Love Gets A Hold Of You,” her current single, in addition to other hit songs such as “Fancy.”
Reba said, I’m really excited about our fall tour. New staging and production are being designed. I can’t wait to tour with Eden’s Edge, Steel Magnolia and The Band Perry. I will have a blast. It’s going to be a night full of great music.
Over the course of her career, McEntire has sold more than 56 million worldwide albums. All of her previous albums that have been released have received Platinum-plus or gold status. Recently, she became a member of Country Music’s Hall of Fame. Reba has also had a total of thirty five No. 1 songs. She has also won numerous musical awards throughout her career, including Grammy Awards (2), Country Music Association Awards (6), Academy of Country Music Awards (13) and American Music Awards (15).
The first album released by The Band Perry was certified Gold after being out for only four months. This week the ACM Awards named the band “New Group or Duo of the Year”. They also won “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” from the CMT Awards. “You Lie,” the band’s current single, is quickly rising up the charts.
After releasing “Keep On Loving You,” their first single, Steel Magnolia quickly caught the attention of the country music fans. It became country music’s fastest rising single in history from a female/male duo. In January 2011, the group released their debut self-titled album. The new group Edens Edge is rapidly becoming known for blending bluegrass and country. “Amen, their current single, is within the Top 40 of the Country Music charts. Fans can expect these concerts to be high energy and not to be missed, with Reba and these opening acts performing.
A pair of country icons are hitting the road together in 2010 — George Strait and Reba McEntire. The duo are eyeing the biggest arenas in the land to host their upcoming “Twang” tour. George Strait will be touring in support of his August release “Twang” which marked his 26th studio effort. Twang debuted at number 1 on both the Billboard 200 Album charts as well as the Country Album charts. “Twang” is the follow-up album to his Grammy winning 2008 effort “Troubadour.” Strait is CMA’s current crowned Entertainer of the Year and the Academy of Country Music has bestowed upon him the honor of Artist of the Decade.
Reba McEntire will be touting her August release “Keep on Loving You.” The effort awarded her first entrance at the Billboard charts at number 1. She’s been nominated by the American Music Awards as Favorite Female Country Artist marking her 23rd such nod, and has garnered 15 trophies for her mantle.
