Michael Buble Prepares for 2008 Fall Tour

Initial dates have been announced by Michael Buble for a forthcoming tour of the US late this years as he continues backing “Call Me Irresponsible,” his Grammy winning album from last year.

The traditional/big band singer from Canada will be kicking of his run in Baltimore on October. He will have five dates during the month of October. According to the website for Buble, more shows will be added for Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, Illinois and Ohio.

General public ticket sales will be going on sale starting August 15 for the newly announced shows.

Buble is continuing to support his third studio album, “Call Me Irresponsible,” which was released last year and debuted on Billboard’s 200 in the No. 2 spot and peaked in the No. 1 position during the second week it was on the chart. In February the album earned Buble his first ever Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

The album consists of standards like “The Best is Yet to Come” and “I’ve Got the World on a String” as well as a gospel version of “That’s Life” from Frank Sinatra. Buble also covers “I’m Your Man” by Leonard Cohen and “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton along with two originals including “Everything,” the radio hit written by Buble which is streaming from his MySpace page.

The latest album from Buble follows “It’s Time,” his platinum seller from 2005. It stayed for almost two years on the Billboard Traditional Jazz chart and also won a total of four Juno Awards, which is a Canadian equivalent of a Grammy.

Buble Schedules US Dates for 'Irresponsible' Tour

After recently wrapping up the leg in Canada on his world tour, Michael Buble will take a short break before embarking on an eight week run of the US.

The singer from Canada will be be back on the road starting February 20 and have four Florida shows and then travel through the East and South until late April. He has added since last check a stand of two nights in Atlantic City as well as almost 12 visits in the East Coast as well as Indianapolis and Ohio.

Following his dates in the US, Buble will be taking a break and then head to Australia in May for his first down under arena tour. On April 6 he will be performing in Calgary at the Juno Awards. Buble’s overseas dates are listed on his website.

The 2007 summer tour of Buble’s was so popular he wound up adding second as well as third nights for many US cities. He closed the year out with concerts in South Africa and Europe.

After closing out 2007 with concerts in South Africa and Europe, singer Michael Buble will be returning early next year to North America’s tour circuit.

The native of Canada is planning to open up his performance schedule for 2008 with a Canadian tour starting in mid January. The trek will stretch into early February. This will be followed with a round of new shows in the US launching in late February and stretching so far into mid March.

Fans of Michael Buble are snatching up tickets for his forthcoming tour of the US, prompting the singer from Canada to add a third show in several of the US major markets.

The trek, which will be kicking off in Reno, NV on July 12, now has three night stands in Seattle, Los Angeles, New York City and Chicago, and stands of two nights in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and Minneapolis. Recently a Verona, NY date has been added.

Michael Buble has announced a full tour schedule of the US while he is flying high with his No. 1 album.

Starting in Reno, NV on July 12 the crooner from Canada will be criss-crossing the US. Several of his shows have sold out already, including two each for Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. Recently a third show was added for Chicago. Other markets will also have third shows added to them soon.

There will also be two night stands for Buble in Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston and Minneapolis. A European tour will finish the year out for Buble. On his website the international dates are listed.
