In a Twist, Michael Buble Wears an Engagement Ring

It is official! Canadian pop-jazz crooner Michael Buble is off the market and is getting married to Luisana Lopilato, an actress from Argentina.

But the interesting thing about this story is that aside from his fiancé, Buble himself is also sporting an engagement, or rather, a “man-gagement” ring.  “The boy also wears the engagement ring…That’s what she tells me anyway,” Buble told the Daily Mail.  Either it truly is an Argentine custom or it is just Luisana’s way of marking her territory against Buble’s most loyal female fans who are certainly disappointed with the news.

The newly engaged couple’s love story began in 2008 when Buble saw his would-be fiancé amongst the audience while performing in Buenos Aires and simply fell head over heels for her, “she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever laid eyes upon on”, gushes Buble.

But the two didn’t hit it off right then and there since Buble thought Luisana was dating the guy she came in the backstage with, while Luisana thought that Buble was gay.  But they sorted out the confusion eventually and now they are planning to settle down next year.

As for future plans, Buble tells People Magazine that his future wife’s obsession with the “Twilight” movie series might be translated to their future offspring’s names, “…she came up with Bella Buble…she kept saying ‘Bella [or] I like Edward’”, Buble recalls.
