Turn tabling duo Thievery Corporation joins forces with another music duo, the British trip-hop act Massive Attack for a tour that will hit North American soil this fall.
The upcoming tour will be unveiled on October 18 in Montreal’s Bell Centre and will entail 13 more stops before it concludes on November 7 in Universal City, CA. The tour also includes a two-night stop in NYC’s Beacon Theater on October 21 and 22.
The trip-hop and electronic powerhouse acts will be accompanied by at least 15 other musical acts to deliver a night of up-tempo beats of acid jazz, dub, reggae, house and techno. Also expect the two headlining acts to play tracks from their albums – “It Takes a Thief” which is Thievery Corporation’s greatest hits compilation and is due to come out on September 21, and Massive Attack’s early spring release “Heligolan”.
Tickets for all shows will be available via Ticketmaster except for the tour’s lone Canadian stop and tour opener in Montreal on October 18 where tickets can be accessed through the Evenko website.
Washington, DC-bred Thievery Corporation is composed of DJs Eric Hilton and Rob Garza while Massive Attack features trip-hop experts Grant Marshall and Robert del Naja who both hail from Bristol, UK.
