Lady Gaga Reboots Her Tour for a Second North American Run

Lady Gaga is truly the little engine that could. After putting on stage shows around the world that have left her drained and even at times collapsed on the stage, she’s getting back up and asking for more. Lady Gaga will follow-up her successful North American tour from last fall with a new batch of tour dates upgrading her theater show to arenas. To date there are 30+ shows and counting, and fans shouldn’t fear because Gaga will be bringing her full theatrical opera to the stage every night. The pop mistress will stoke the fire when she kicks things off in Montreal, Quebec on June 28 and carry through to Raleigh, North Carolina on September 19. Tickets go onsale via Ticketmaster on Friday, March 19 with presale tickets being offered to Virgin Mobile subscribers on March 17. A full lineup of Lady Gaga tour dates are listed below.

The tour supports Lady Gaga’s latest album release “The Fame Monster” that hit shelves last November. The album climbed up to number 5 on the Billboard Album Charts.

Grammys Award Big Night to Beyonce, Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift wasn’t exactly on her game when performing an offkey disaster with Stevie Nicks at the 2010 Grammys, but it didn’t seem to matter as she went home with the coveted Album of the Year honors for ‘Fearless.’ At the ripe old age of 20, she becomes the youngest artist to win the award, and the best part is she didn’t have to contend with Kanye West storming the stage to put his two cents in. Taylor took home three Grammys before the night was finished.

Beyonce also took the ceremony hostage as she took home 6 Grammy Awards which was a record by a woman artist. Among her accolades were best female pop vocal performance and song of the year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”

Lady Gaga opened the evening in style with a theatrical performance of her hit single “Poker Face” and was joined by Sir Elton John. Other performances during the evening failed to live up to bar Gaga set. Pink had an ill-advised stripper-meets-Cirque du Soleil moment. Eminem, Lil Wayne and Drake kept the CBS editors working overtime to screen out of overflow of obscenity.

Other notable winners included Zac Brown Band as best new artist and Kings of Leon for Record of the Year for “Use Somebody,” a big upset considering their competition — Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga. Lionel Richie presented a lifetime achievement award for Michael Jackson to his children yet no apology for the lackluster tribute performance by the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Carrie Underwood.

Lady Gaga Opens Tour into 2010

“We don’t need no stinkin’ Kanye,” Lady Gaga says as she shakes off the PR nightmare of the cancelled tour and charts a new course forward. The “Poker Face” star is readying the release of her expanded album “The Fame Monster” on November 24, and gearing up for another batch of tour dates.

The Lady Gaga tour will be kicking off in Montreal, Quebec on November 27 and continue through January 21 in New York. She has three dual night performances slated for New York, Chicago, Boston and Vancouver. Kid Cudi will be providing support.

“The Fame” marked her first major label release and wiggled its way up to number 4 on the Billboard album charts. The album has spawned 4 hit singles including “Just Dance” and “Poker Face.” The extended album promises eight new tracks for your listening enjoyment.

Kanye West, Lady Gaga Team Up for 30 City Tour

Kanye West has been all over the news this week for all the wrong reasons. After preempting Taylor Swift’s MTV Video Music Award speech by blathering on about Beyonce, he’s now announced an upcoming tour with fellow headline grabber Lady Gaga. The pair will be taking their “Fame Kills Tour” to 30-plus cities starting with Phoenix on November 10. Full Kanye West tour dates are listed below.

The fallout from Kanye’s actions have been a swift rebuke from all who’ve been asked. He appeared on the inaugural episode of the Jay Leno show to apologize for his actions against Swift. He pawned his actions off on the stress of touring and making music which some thought put the upcoming tour in jeopardy. West called Swift to apologize four days later only after her appearance on the View in which she said West hadn’t attempted to contact her about the incident.

Lady Gaga is riding high after being named Best New Artist at the VMAs. Her singles “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” have been burning up the airwaves and “Dance” garnered a Grammy nomination.
