Bruno Mars Tours with Ellie Goulding, Fitz & Tantrums This Summer
Bruno Mars announced a summer tour during an appearance on “Ellen,” though he left quite a few questions about the trek unanswered.
Here’s what we know: the tour, dubbed the “Moonshine Jungle tour,” will take place this summer, and he will be joined by Ellie Goulding and/or Fitz & the Tantrums on various dates. Those exact dates, as well as the venues he will play, will be announced in the future.
However, we do know where the tour will visit, and here’s the entire list: Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Calgary, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Edmonton, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Louisville, Miami, Minneapolis, Montreal, Nashville, New York, Newark, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Jose, Seattle, St. Louis, Tampa, Toronto, Uncasville, Vancouver and Washington, D.C.
After these North American dates, Mars will travel to Europe to continue his world tour. As you may have guessed, no exact dates for that portion of the tour have yet been released.
Mars is supporting his most recent album, Unorthodox Jukebox, which was released in December of last year. That album contains a song called “Moonshine,” which most likely explains the name of the tour. The album debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, and came in at number one on the U.K. charts.
Mars appeared at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony over the weekend as part of a performance that served as a tribute to Bob Marley and also featured Sting, Rihanna, and Damien and Ziggy Marley. The tribute honored what would have been Marley’s 68th birthday. The musicians performed a mash-up that included a reggae-infused version of Mars’ hit “Locked Out of Heaven,” the Police’s “Walking on the Moon” and a cover of Marley’s “Could You Be Loved.”
