Brian Regan Brings the Laughs on 2013 Tour
Comedian Brian Regan has announced an extensive U.S. tour that will keep him on the road for the majority of the first half of 2013.
The 41-date tour will kick off at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis on January 11, 2013, and the tour is scheduled to run at least through a May 12 performance at the Sands Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In between those dates, the popular comedian will also visit cities including Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles, Chattanooga, Seattle, Baltimore and Columbus, Ohio.
The packed schedule is nothing new to Regan, who has performed in more than 80 cities every year since 2005. In January of this year, he broke the record for most consecutive shows by a comedian at the Abravanel Hall venue in Salt Lake City when he performed ten sold-out shows. He sold more than 26,000 tickets during the 10-date residency.
Regan himself set the previous record at Abravanel Hall when he performed five-sold out shows in March 2010. That string broke the previous record of four shows set by Jerry Seinfeld in 2005.
Regan appeared with Seinfeld earlier this year in an episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” He also has appeared on a number of television shows throughout his career, including “Shorties Watchin’ Shorties,” “The Pat Sajak Show,” “The Marriage Ref” and has performed stand up on most of the late night shows.
The tour will allow Regan to continue to support his most recent album, All By Myself. That album is the comedian’s second live concert recording, and was released in physical form on November 25, 2011 (a digital only version had been available since the previous year). Additionally, the comedian also has released two Comedy Central specials on DVD: 2007’s “Brian Regan Standing Up” and 2008’s “The Epitome of Hyperbole.”
