Brantley Gilbert Grabs Thomas Rhett, Eric Paslay for Spring Tour
In the wake of his latest country hit “Bottoms Up”, Brantley Gilbert has announced a string of tour dates for the year with support from Thomas Rhett and Eric Paslay.
“I’m really excited to get this new music out to the fans!” Gilbert said in a statement. “The response from the BG Nation has blown me away. They always come out in full force. Can’t wait to see the reaction we get on the road.”
Gilbert is asking fans to help promote the 2014 trek by posting photos on their Instagram account with the hashtag #LetItRideTour. An announcement on his website says, “Get creative! We wanna see the most crazy, badass, redneck stuff you can think of to show us a little about your hometown and how pumped you are for this tour to come your way.”
To thank participants for their help, one fan will be given the opportunity to fly out to one of the stops on the Let It Ride Tour. The grand prize also includes roundtrip coach and air transportation for two, a one-night hotel stay, transportation to and from the hotel and airport, and two tickets to the show of their choice.
The contest is open through to January 15th at 11:59 CST. A winner will be selected via a drawing at random on or around February 1st.
Said “Let It Ride” tour is due to kick off on March 27th with a show in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and will see the country star make stops in Louisville, Kentucky, Indio, California, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Omaha, Sioux Falls and Wichita, among other places, before wrapping up in Morrison, Colorado on May 18th.
“Bottoms Up” is the lead single from the singer/songwriter’s upcoming third studio album. A title and release date haven’t officially been released yet, but in September, CMT.com reported that the LP is due out in early 2014 and that Gilbert said “he’s pretty settled on the title Just As I Am.” Gilbert’s most recent album, Halfway to Heaven, was released in 2010.
