Bon Jovi to Release New Album, Tour in 2013
It looks like Bon Jovi fans may have a lot to look forward to in 2013.
An article on Examiner.com reports the band will issue a new album and tour during the coming year, citing “a reliable source close to the band who declined to be identified for this article.” The source also had other tidbits of information that may be of interest to Bon Jovi fans.
The upcoming new Bon Jovi album is expected to be released in March of next year, and the tour will start before the album release in February. Tickets for the tour are expected to go on sale in December of this year.
Finally, guitarist Richie Sambora will undertake a short, two-month tour of the U.S. and Europe behind his upcoming solo album, Aftermath of the Lowdown. The album is due out on September 18.
There has been no official word from the band yet about all of this, though earlier this year singer Jon Bon Jovi said that the band was writing songs for a new album. The group’s last album of original material was The Circle, which was released in 2009. The album is the band’s 11th studio album and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
In other recent Bon Jovi news (the man, not the band), a man has admitted to burglarizing the singer’s New Jersey home on multiple occasions last year. The break-ins occurred on March 14, April 1 and April 3 of 2011 at Bon Jovi’s residence in Middletown, N.J.
Nicholas Tracy, 22, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft and burglary from the incidents, and the jewelry and personal items he obtained from the homes netted him more than $300,000. The prosecutor in the case declined to say what items were taken from the home, though police have recovered some of the stolen property.
