Bocelli, Celine, Bennett Stack the Bill for Free Central Park Concert
A star-studded line up of special guest stars have been announced by Andrea Bocelli for the free concert he is giving on September 15 on the Great Lawn in Central Park along with the Alan Gilbert-directed New York Philharmonic.
On this memorable night Andrea will be joined on stage by David Foster, Chris Botti, Tony Bennett and Celine Dion. Sopranos Pretty Yende and Ana Maria Martinez, Bryn Terfel, bass baritone, violinist Nicola Benedetti and flutist Andrea Griminelli will also be participating in the eventful evening in addition to the Joe Miller-directed Westminster Symphonic Choir.
The musical event will be a one-in-a-lifetime experience and will be recorded by Thirteen in high definition for WNET. It will be broadcast on national PBS during the late fall of 2011 on GREAT Performances. This November Sugar/Decca will also be releasing “Andrea Bocelli Live In Central Park” on DVD and CD.
