Bob Seger Firms Up Fall Tour

Bob Seger Firms Up Fall Tour

New dates have been added by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band onto the second leg on their 2011 tour of North America. The outing is scheduled to kick off on November 2 in Ypsilanti, Michigan from Eastern Michigan University. Included in the series of dates will be performances in Manhattan at Madison Square Garden, which was recently renovated, and in Florida at the music festival Orlando Calling. It will be the first big music festival appearance for Seger in decades.

The tour itinerary for Seger- which will be expanding in the future to include dates on the West Coast- is not as intense now as it used to be, largely in part to the increased age of the singer. Earlier this year while touring Seger informed Rolling Stone magazine, due to my age we are only doing three shows per week. I am sitting down for the very first time while playing guitar. My back hurts. Unusually after playing two to three songs from the piano my back hurts. It’s worse from the piano. That’s very strange. It didn’t ever before. I am getting up in years. It’s just old age.
