Black Crowes Prepare One Last Tour Before Calling it Quits

The Black Crowes have been strumming their unique blend of Southern rock for the past 20 years and their road is growing thin. They are set to launch their “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys” tour on August 13 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and it will hit more than 50 cities before wrapping with a six-night residency stay at San Francisco’s Fillmore. A full listing of Black Crowes tour dates can be found below. The upcoming tour is expected to feature three-hour set lists drawing from their full music catalog in full acoustic and electric brilliance. Tickets for the bulk of the dates go onsale through Ticketmaster on May 14 at 10am.

The split is dubbed as a “lengthy hiatus,” but if you listen to drummer Steve Gorman from a recent press release it sounds a bit more final. Gorman said, “We are all in agreement that this is the right time to spend time with our families, friends, outside musical and non musical projects and of course, our personal lives. So, we’re going out swinging with all we got.” The band will also be dropping a new album on August 3 entitled “Croweology” which is a double disk acoustic set that draws material from their across their career, strips it down and serves it up for consumption.
