Biographer Says Mick Jagger Sexual History Includes 4000 Women, David Bowie

A controversial new biography claims that Mick Jagger has slept with more than 4,000 women. The book also seeks to confirm the rumor that the Rolling Stones’ frontman slept with David Bowie.

The books author, Chris Andersen, was recently interviewed by “Extra” about the book.

“Mick Jagger has slept with 4,000 women over the course of his life,” Andersen said, “and in retrospect, I think that might be kind of a low figure.”

Andersen listed Bowie as one of Jagger’s past sexual partners, and calls the two of them a “sexual tag team.”

“Mick himself said, at one point, ‘everyone knows that everyone is basically bisexual,” Andersen added. Other famous partners Jagger was with through the years include, according to Andersen, Angelina Jolie, Farrah Fawcett, Uma Thurman, Carla Bruni and Carly Simon. The biographer also told a story of Jagger once seeking the help of a sex therapist, but ended up seducing her.

One of the long-held rumors of the rock world is that Bowie’s wife at the time found him and Jagger in bed together. The new book confirms this, but it says that the two were sleeping in the bed naked when Bowie’s wife Angie came into the room. They were not engaged in any activity at the time.

In other Rolling Stones’ news, today marks the 50 year anniversary since the band played their first show – held at London’s Marquee Jazz Club. The Rolling Stones celebrated the event by attending a photo exhibition of their career today at the Somerset House in London.

The band is planning to celebrate their 50th birthday next year, as that is when drummer Charlie Watts joined the band and cemented the lineup. The identity of the drummer at the first show is still debated among the band members.

At today’s event, Keith Richards confirmed the band have been rehearsing together, but wouldn’t provide reunion details.

“There’s things in the works, there’s nothing final that I can say,” the guitarist told BBC News. “We’re playing around with the idea and had a couple of rehearsals – we’ve got together lately and it feels good. I think, soon! I think it’s definitely happening. But when? I can’t say yet… There might be life in the old dog yet – we’ll die gracefully, elegantly wasted.”
