Barry Manilow, the American songwriter-singer, performer, conductor producer and arranger, was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 17, 1943. He is best known for hit singles such as “Copacabana,” “Can't Smile Without You,” “Mandy” and “Could It Be Magic.”

Five of Manilow's albums in 1978 simultaneously hit the best-selling charts. The only other artists to have accomplished that are Johnny Mathis, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra. Manilow has recorded a series of multi-platinum albums and Billboard hit singles. He has been Radio & Records No. 1 Adult Contemporary artist. He also won the Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist award from the American Music Awards three years in a row. Manilow had five consecutive and ten overall No. 1 hit singles from 1974 to 1979.

Manilow has also arranged and produced other artists' albums, including Dionne Warwick and Bette Midler as well as written songs for commercials, films and musicals. He headlined at Las Vegas Hilton from February 2005 through December 30, 2009. He has headlined at the Las Vegas Paris Hotel since March 2010. Barry Manilow has sold over 80 million worldwide records. Over the course of his career he has released 29 studio albums, 4 live albums and 15 compilation albums.
