Avenged Sevenfold Plots Arena Tour Behind ‘Nightmare’
Avenged Sevenfold, the hard rockers, will continue to support “Nightmare,” their summertime release, with a road trip in 2011 that features three opening acts.
The band will perform a pre-holiday show in Las Vegas on December 11 prior to kicking off their tour “Nightmare After Christmas” which the band from California will be launching in Reading, PA on January 20. The trek will stop at arenas in 17 cities across the country and wrap up in Eugene, OR on February 13. Hollywood Undead, Stone Sour and New Medicine will be openers on Avenged Sevenfold’s road trip.
The band’s tour schedule also includes five nights in Australia.
Tickets for some of the shows can be purchased now at the band’s website. During the coming weeks, their remaining dates will be going on sale.
In July, Avenged Sevenfold released “Nightmare,” the fifth studio effort of the band’s. Mike Elizondo (Pink, Maroon 5) produced the set. It debuted in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart and was also No. 1 on Brazil and Finland’s music charts.
