Amos Lee Takes to the Road for ‘Mission Bell’
Amos Lee, only two weeks after he scored the Billboard 200′s top spot, is making plans to perform his recent album this spring across the eastern part of the U.S.
First, Lee will visit Europe and perform five concerts. He will then launch a U.S. tour starting in Minneapolis on March 24. Lee will be visiting festivals and theaters in 20 cities, which will include runs of two nights on April 1 and 2 in New York City and in Atlanta on April 8 and 10. The run will be rounded out with an appearance on June 12 at Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN.
In late January, Lee released his fourth album, “Mission Bell.” The set consists of 12 tracks and features several special guests, including Calexico, Priscilla Ahn, Lucinda Williams and Willie Nelson.
The new album is a followup to “Last Days at the Lodge” from 2009. It debuted in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart, although it is the lowest selling number one set since albums sales were first tracked by SoundScan in 1991.
