Aerosmith, Sarah McLachlan, LMFAO Headline ‘Le Mondial Loto

Aerosmith, Sarah McLachlan and LMFAO will be among the headliners at this year’s Le Mondial Loto – Quebec.

That may be one of the most eclectic headlining groups of this year’s festival season, and it’s clear that this festival is decidedly not one of your run-of-the-mill music festivals.

Organizers of the event say that the festival is “one of the most important choral gatherings in the world.” Held in Laval, Quebec, which is north of Montreal, the festival runs exactly a month and features a slew of top tier artists. Many times the artists are accompanied by choirs for unique performances not found any where else.

This year is the eighth year of the festival, and it will run for an entire month, from June 15 to July 15.

Held at the city’s Centre de La Nature, McLachlan – a native of Canada – will perform with an orchestra on June 23. LMFAO will play the venue on July 7 and Aerosmith will show up three days later on July 10.

Local Quebec legend Jean Leloup will play June 29, and Montreal rocker Eric Lapointe will play a free concert on June 24. In addition to the music, the festival also will feature a comedy portion called Laval bien cuit, which translates to Laval well done, and will feature Francois Morency and Philippe Bond, among others.

In other Aerosmith news, recent rumors about an upcoming North American Tour have now been confirmed, and the band will undertake the Global Warming Tour beginning this summer.

The band also will make an appearance Wednesday at the Grove in Los Angeles, according to a post on Facebook.

“Hey – something’s going on big at The Grove in Los Angeles,” the post stated. “Be at the fountain near the patch of grass, Wednesday, March 28th promptly at 12 PM. This is YOUR chance to see Aerosmith and a whole lot more.
