Adele’s Remaining US Tour Dates Cancelled Due to Illness
Adele, with her best selling album and number one single, has taken America by storm.
However today the Adele steamroller was stopped in its tracks when it was announced that the British singer has to cancel the remainder of her tour of the U.S. due to laryngitis.
She posted a notice on her website, detailing her frustrations with needing to cancel the remaining nine shows.
The statement said that she went to see an Otolaryngology specialist while she was in Los Angeles. The specialist determined that it was imperative for her to take a few weeks off, including absolute voice rest, to recover.
The singer added that she was hoping that resting a week would allow her to sing again right away. She said, however the only thing I can do is rest some more and follow the doctors advice. See you soon. I am very sorry. Love Adele.
Earlier this week Adele initially announced she was posting five dates from her North American sold out tour. However since then all of the shows have been canceled.
Rescheduling plans are being explored.
This isn’t the first time Adele has lost her powerful singing voice in the United States.
Last month she was scheduled to make her second “Dancing With The Stars” appearance. However at the last minute Delta Goodrem was enlisted to replace Adele because her voice was “knackered.”
Adele’s single “Rolling In The Deep” is currently No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. charts.
