This might come as a surprise to all her fans, but Alicia Keys is pregnant to hip-hop and R&B producer and her fiancée Swiss Beatz, or Kasseem Dean in real life. The news came out after the couple attended the Black Ball Charity event in London on Thursday night where the singer’s baby bump showed through her gown. The said event was a fund raiser for the Keep a Child Alive organization, of which the 29-year old Keys is an active benefactor.

Kid Rock is preparing to launch “Born Free,” his new album, on September 7. The Rick Rubin produced album is Rock’s first since “Rock N Roll Jesus” was released in 2007. On Saturday while visiting the Movement Festival in Detroit, Rock said “Born Free,” the first single, will be released at the end of June.

It’s official: summer is summer. Kid Rock made the announcement that he’ll be performing at the DTE Energy Music Theatre on August 13 – 15. Promoter Live Nation today announced that tickets for the shows will be going on sale on May 28. Ticket prices haven’t been determined yet. The three shows follow the blockbuster Comerica Park concerts by Rock from summer 2009. Those two shows each drew 40,000 fans, marking the largest-ever performances for Rock in his hometown and first shows ever at the ball park of the Detroit Tigers.

They sang a song for Simon Cowell, mentor and departing judge. Taylor Hicks, Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson were lined up together, giving a very rousing performance of “Together We Are One” by Deltra Goodrem. The icons from “Idol,” who were mainly wearing black, also were joined by almost two dozen past season finalists, including favorites like Elliot Yamin, Bo Bice, Michael Johns, David Archuleta and Jason Castro.

With U2 front man Bono still in recovery after an intensive back surgery, they are left with no choice but to push back the dates for the upcoming North American leg of their U2360° tour which was originally planned to kick off in Salt Lake City, UT on July 3 and will supposedly conclude with a show in New Jersey on July 19. In a statement sent by the band’s manager Paul McGuinness, he says that this is a major “blow” for Bono, and that Bono “feels robbed of the chance to do what he does best and feels like he has badly let down the band and their audience”.
