Shakira Rallies Against Arizona's New Immigration Law

You’ll know when a political matter is indeed controversial when even pop stars join the quest to crush the matter to the ground. Because apparently, the power of the new leader of the free world – Barack Obama – is not enough to re-examine the legality of the new immigration law that is about to be implemented in Arizona this summer. The new law which authorizes Arizona policemen to question the legality of entry of those who have crossed the US border is actually raising eyebrows, to be more specific, Latina pop star Shakira’s eyebrows, as the new law may lead to racial profiling which as we all know, is inhumane and undignified.

Take the Seinfeld Tour in New York

Although it was mainly shot in Los Angeles, the cult NBC sitcom “Seinfeld” was actually set in Manhattan, specifically in the Upper West Side. The show also made several references to famous dining places in the area. So if you are a first timer in this famous New York island, hit two birds with one stone by reliving your favorite Seinfeld episode while savoring the best among Manhattan’s most popular restaurants.

Tom’s Diner, for all Seinfeld diehard fans, is where Jerry, George and Elaine often met and ate. This restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of 112th and Broadway in the Upper West Side. Pretend to be one of the characters as you take a bite out of that sub or sip on that coffee, or talk about that Seinfeld episode you enjoyed the most in one of the booths referred to in one of the shows gazillion episodes.

If you remember the “Soup Nazi” episode which featured Soup Kitchen, a soup joint located near the corner of 55th street and Eighth Avenue, then you might be surprised to see or find out that this soup joint has been closed for some time now, and we’re guessing for good, which remains to be a mystery for a lot of us since the soup choices here were said to be very tasty and good. And as much as the restaurant garnered public attention by being featured in a Seinfeld episode, the owner shies away from everything and anything about the said show, so don’t expect him to answer any questions you might have about it.
