On Wednesday night, Alicia Keys and her Freedom Tour made a stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the singer’s hometown. The night was one of surprise guests, positive messages and soaring vocals. Joining Keys onstage were Swizz Beatz, Beyonce and Jay-Z. The singer performed a long list of songs, covering the past up to the present. Keys even put her dancing skills on display.

Korn will be headlining the Jagermeister Music Tour’s spring 2010 edition, paving the way for their new studio album due out this summer. The outing will kick off in Myrtle Beach, SC on May 2 and wrap up in Lubbock, TX the following month. According to the organizers more dates will be announced shortly to expand the current itinerary to include over 25 cities. The band will also co-headline with Rob Zombie at Mayhem Festival.

The lineups and dates of the first eight Lilith Fair shows this summer suggest that Sarah McLachlan, the event’s organizer, is committed to a majority of the outings having some country music. Six of the city rosters released on Tuesday show one country act at least including Loretta Lynn, Sugarland and Miranda Lambert. The West Palm Beach and Atlanta gigs have two each.

Have you ever wondered how many acts you have to pack onto a bill to fill up a stadium? Well evidently it is three. The Eagles, Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks will be heading out to a stadium near you this summer. The trio of bands will kick things off in Toronto, Ontario on June 8 and carry through the month of June to end up at St. Louis’ Busch Stadium on June 24.

Teenage pop wonder Justin Bieber is ready to bust out of his shell and take on North America one arena at a time. Bieber will be launching his first headlining tour to promote his latest album “My World 2.0.” The tour kicks off in Hartford, Connecticut on June 23 and runs through 43 cities before wrapping up in Allentown, Pennsylvania on September 4.

Starting March 15, unsigned musicians will be able to enter the contest for Ernie Ball Play Crossroads at playcrossroads.com for an opportunity to perform live at the 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival on Ernie Ball Village Stage. Eric Clapton’s festival will take place in Chicago at Toyota Park on June 26 and be presented by T-Mobile’s myTouch 3G.

Today it was announced by Red Mountain Entertainment that Van Morrison will be making his first appearance ever in Alabama. He will perform at the BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham on May 3. Tickets will be going on sale for the concert on March 26 via Ticketmaster, Prices of the tickets are $350, $250, $125, $85 and $55.

Diana Ross will be hitting the road to dust off her greatest hits collection this summer. Starting May 15 in Boston, Massachusetts, Ross will begin a 17-city tour that will carry her through to her final date in Saratoga, California on June 12.

In an upcoming “Yo Gabba Gabba!” episode entitled “New Friends” the funny man will entertain the colorful creatures from the show, Plex, Toodee, Brobee, Foofa and Muno, and teach them some disco during the show’s segment “Dancey Dance Time” The show will air on Friday, April 3 on Nickelodeon.
