Jack Johnson Plans 2010 Summer Tour Dates

Jack Johnson is resting his surfboard for the summer as he embarks on his first concert tour in two years. Johnson will kick off the 32-city trek in Hartford, Connecticut on June 9 and will go through the end of October with a two-night stint at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California on October 13 & 14.

Elton John Signs on to Play Sting's Rainforest Benefit

Elton John, Sting, Dame Shirley Bassey and Lady Gaga will be headlining the 21st Birthday Concert for Rainforest Fund on May 13 in New York at Carnegie Hall. According to the website for Sting, following the concert will be a gala dinner, also featuring surprise guests. In addition to live music and dinner, the night will also be featuring a silent auction live for benefiting Rainforest Fund.

Sheryl Crow Takes on the Festival Circuit this Summer

Sheryl Crow’s summer schedule has been announced. It includes a mixture of festival appearances and headlining dates as well as participation on the recently resurrected Lilith Fair tour. Crow will be kicking her outing off with an appearance at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN on June 11. The trek will wrap up in Bridgeview, IL on June 26.

Green Day Prepares 2010 Summer Tour

Green Day has started to announce dates for a summer amphitheater North American tour as they continue to support “21st Century Breakdown,” their Grammy award winning album released last spring. The outing will feature AFI as special guests and kick off in Camden, NJ on August 3. Stops include Boston on August 16 and Dallas on August 26. The trek will wrap up in Irvine, CA on August 31. Paramore Headlines Honda Civic Tour 2010

The Honda Civic Tour began in 2001 with rock band Blink 182 as front liners for the said event. The tour not only features rock bands touring various US cities for several months, it also raffles a Honda Civic Coupe to be given away at the end of each yearly tour. In 2009, the tour did not push through but in 2008, the tour was headlined by Panic at the Disco, and they were joined by other groups like Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet, who is best remembered for their hit song “California”, the theme for the TV series, The O.C.
