The biggest Grammy award of the night went to Taylor Swift. Her album “Fearless” won album of the year. Swift said, we will tell this story over and over. How in 2010 we won album of the year. Taylor Swift also won a Grammy for best country album. In all, she won four Grammys.

At the ripe old age of 20, she becomes the youngest artist to win the award and the best part is she didn’t have to contend with Kanye West storming the stage to put his two cents in.

They have a run of spring dates coming up with Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The indie rock band will kick off their tour in Birmingham, AL on April 20. That will be followed up with shows in eight cities in the southeastern US. Currently the schedule wraps up in Columbus, OH on May 2.
Continue ReadingThe first round for Zac Brown Band’s West Coast dates for their “Breaking Southern Ground Tour” have been plotted behind “The Foundation,” the group’s release from 2008. Last September, the award winning country band kicked their run off. They will be returning with a concert on March 2 in San Diego. Currently the West Coast trek, which will visit 15 cities, is scheduled to wrap up in Everett, WA on March 21.

Following the telecast on January 31 the duet will be at iTunes.com/Target and available for purchase. According to a recent press release, all proceeds will be given to the American Red Cross.

Among those scheduled to perform are Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Seal and music icons John Mellencamp, Smokey Robinson, Natalie Cole and the legendary Bob Dylan. The Howard University Choir and the Blind Boys of Alabama are also expected to perform in the event.

The tour of intimate theaters will kick off in Cincinnati on March 25 and feature 30 other concerts across the eastern part of the US. Currently the tour concludes in Grand Prairie, TX on May 2.
