Elton John, veteran pop rocker, will be making his guest appearance on “Black Gives Way to Blue,” the forthcoming album from Alice In Chains. On the title track of the album John plays piano. A recent press release describes the song as a heart stirring and moving tribute to Layne Staley, late lead singer for Alice In Chains.

Van Morrison will be kicking the trek off with a Las Vegas performance on September 25 followed by a September 29 theater gig in Chicago. Other stops planned include a September 30 date in Toronto, a October 1 stop in Montreal, and an October 24 visit to Waterbury, CT, before wrapping up in Mashantucket, CT on October 28.

The three will be appearing in the September 14 launch episode for the new primetime show of Leno’s on NBC and perform the single “Run This Town” from “The Blueprint 3,” the forthcoming album from Jay-Z due out in stores on September 11.
Continue ReadingWith a ballpark tour currently in his hands, Bob Dylan has laid a new set of dates for fall to continue support for his latest studio effort “Together through Life”, which hit retailers barely four months ago.
The fall outing will only last about a couple of weeks and will open with a show in Seattle on October 5 and will close in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium where Dylan will perform for three straight nights from October 13 to 15.
